A Client's Vision Transforms a Space into Her Dream Kitchen

Periodically I enjoy checking in with my past clients to see how they are adjusting to their new homes.   Recently I visited with a family for who I helped sell their very first home in order to find a home with my space for their teenage boys.  They wanted a traditional home with a great location in Norwell and more square footage.  The only home at that time with the square footage they were looking for was a large contemporary in a lovely area in Norwell with a beautifully landscaped yard with a pool.  Although it was a contemporary style home, it had high ceilings, and a more traditional floor plan; living room/family room, open kitchen and dining space, sitting room and 1/2 bath on the first floor, 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths upstairs with a finished basement and an additional bath. The home's finishes were simple in keeping with a contemporary home, updating was needed, but it would not require any altering of the floor plan.

The home offered them a lot of space and a relaxed life style, great for entertaining with its open floor plan and pool area.  As the house needed updating and had some other deferred maintenance issues, it was offered at a great price and gave my clients the opportunity to gain equity.

They lived in the home for one year prior to starting their remodeling projects so they could get a feel for the property and figure out what they wanted.  The first undertaking was the kitchen.  Price was very important since they will be relocating again in the future.  They chose Dennis Kitchens for their designer/contractor.  Throughout the process, Dennis Kitchens fully communicated their design options and helped them to make the tough decisions.  The renovation took three weeks from start to finish.  Dennis Kitchens oversaw everything from ripping out the old cabinets, to electrical, plumbing, countertops and new cabinetry.
